About us

Why we started Feed Stray Animals

Feed Stray Animals is the app for reporting, feeding, and tracking stray animals on the map. This is the story behind the app: why we made it and what we want to achieve with it.

Our mission

We believe help shouldn't depend on chance

On the street, one animal gets taken care of, while another a few streets away gets missed. Not because people don't want to help, but because no one knows where help is needed. That's the problem we want to solve with Feed Stray Animals.

The beginning

How it began

The idea for Feed Stray Animals came from a simple, persistent question: where's the overview? We saw animal lovers everywhere helping stray animals with heart and soul, but each on their own. Who had already been fed today? Where was there an empty water bowl? No one knew.

Nowhere was there a central overview of stray animals in need. As a result, help stayed random: one animal got all the attention, while another a few streets away was forgotten.

We wanted to fix that. So we built a map where everyone can see which animal has already been helped, and which one is still waiting.

What we stand for

Three promises to the animals

Everything we build is tested against these principles.

📣

Visibility

Stray animals can't ask for help themselves. Every report on the map makes it visible that an animal is there, and that something needs to happen.

🥣

Concrete help

No empty words, but concrete care: food, water, a safe shelter, and an update once that's arranged.

🤝

Together, not alone

This is a platform for and by the users themselves. The more people join in, the more animals get seen and helped.

The power of togetherness

The more people, the more animals get helped

Feed Stray Animals works better as more people join in. Every food bowl that gets filled, every new location that gets spotted, and every update that gets posted, helps the next animal.

Because reports are on the map, you see where nobody has been yet. That way help reaches the animal that would otherwise be missed sooner.

One shared map From your own street to another continent: every place is on the same map, visible to everyone.
Visible to the neighbourhood When someone adds an update, others see it too. Less guessing, less double work.
🤲 Built by users Every report, every update and every photo comes from people like you who simply want to help stray animals.
